In the case of Intel, the race has now proven to be expensive and embarrassing. Maybe AMD is going to be totally successful in bringing out higher speeds every month all the way to the moon. If that is their plan, they should go for it. But as an Intel shareholder, I care a lot more right now about getting it right than getting it fast.

I can understand your frustration about Intel getting it right.

However, I am sure you also can see by that article how being the leader in speed is so compelling that it gets in the way of getting it right.
