By the way Richard.. enlighten me on why you and some of your Rambus brethen on your thread are being so anti-DDR. IF Rambus owns the patent on DDR SDRAM, - as they claim -, and if they can prove that in a court of law, Rambus would be getting royalties off of DDR as well as RDRAM. I would think judging from the almost fanatical insistence on the Rambus thread that you do own the DDR patent and that you will prevail in the courts, it would be in your best interest to hope that DDR SDRAM and boards ramp up as soon as possible so that you can get royalties for it once this "guaranteed win" in the courts happens. Thus, the Rambus ppl are taking the wrong stance over DDR SDRAM by hoping it flops, when they should be cheering it on.

The other conclusion of course that can be drawn from this fanatical opposition to DDR SDRAM and the wishful thinking it wont be released any time soon is that there is some insecurity over the court case and whether Rambus will win or not.. as well as the fact that DDR will prove a major hindrance to RDRAM's supposed domination of the desktop, because of its competitive performance (which is a given, since if PC133 SDRAM can outperform RDRAM, DDR SDRAM should more then hold its own.)
