Most people who have high theft prone automobiles are in upper income catagories. These are the ones who will have no problem putting another $500-$1000 into AlphaTrak, especially if installed in newly purchased autos. Just include the extra cost in your deal and deal with the dealer accordingly like an extra accessory. Radios cost almost as much, but do not accord the extra piece of mind.

What could be better for the ego and the pocketbook than to participate in catching the #?%$@D*& thief who is lifting your hard earned jewel.
