I called this one, anyway. Now, if I were as good on my stocks... I sure wish Steve Jobs wanted Wallpaper as badly as he wants Quicken. :-)

Headline: Apple Expected To Subsidize Development Of Mac Version Of Quicken

======================================================================
NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Apple Computer Inc. interim chief executive
officer Steve Jobs is close to announcing a deal with Intuit Inc. to
resume development of Intuit's Quicken finance software for the
Macintosh platform, the Digital Bay column in Thursday's San Francisco
Chronicle reported. The paper said Apple will probably help subsidize
Intuit's Quicken development in exchange for a deal to bundle the
software on new Macs.
Intuit a few weeks ago suspended development of Quicken for the Mac,
a move that underscored how Apple's attempts to revive its flagging
platform haven't yet helped developers working to create software for
the Mac.
Intuit CEO William Campbell serves on Apple's board and some Mac
software developers want Apple to force Campbell off and replace him
with someone whose business depends more on the success of the Mac, the
Chronicle said.
