AOL is becoming a world-class franchise.
That is the important point to realize. Just as coke or mcdonalds or mickey mouse. They are experiencing tremendous growing pains, but is also becoming the provider of choice for millions of americans. they will fix the connecting problem. I have been on AOL for 2 1/2 years, use it for my email and chatting with friends. sometimes wander into chat rooms. But the point is I know that i can go almost anywhere where there is a computer and sign onto aol and access stock quotes, market info, my internet acct, or check my email. Most of the people i know who are on aol are yes frustrated by the access problem, but have no plans to switch. and AOL is becoming like "Windows", it's everywhere and the default choice.
Stock may drift back to low 30's, but this time should be viewed as an excellent entry point for big time move over next year or so. It is rare that we get to participate in the beginning of a world class franchise. So short traders, grab your percents, either way, the smart money is to be made by holding this baby. larry shapiro
