Take a hard look at Pakistan: No country did more to support the Taliban than did Pakistan. No country did more to enable "rogue states" to develop nuclear weapons capability than did Pakistan. And in comparison to Iraq, the active involvement of Pakistan in terrorism directly aimed at India is 1,000 times worse than any alleged involvement in terror by Iraq. Add to that the role of Pakistan in allowing thousands of Madrassas to openly promote vile religious hatred. Should we invade Pakistan? No. But we should also not use absurd justifications for the invasion of Iraq that simply do not pass the most basic tests of common sense.

The case for invading Iraq -- whether it be on WMD grounds, counter-terrorism, or humanitarian grounds -- is paper thin. Some people are incapable of recognizing a mistake. Some people are incapable of admitting it when they have made a serious mistake. Some people will waste endless energy defending bad judgement and bad decisions. We made serious mistakes. We were wrong on all counts. That is the truth.
