As I understand it, it wasn't a trick question.....it was the equivalent of someone coming up to you and saying, "Pres. Cashew is on TV, telling the American people to cut back on their energy consumption." Is it unreasonable for us to expect that you should know that the President's name is Clinton and not Cashew? I live in the US, Bush does not live in Canada. Cashew is an english word, Bush and I both speak English (I understand he knows a bit of Spanish as well). The fictional name given to the prime minister was not an English word. It perhaps a ridiculous name for French Canadians, but it doesn't sound ridiculous to English speakers. And it wasn't a trick question when Cheney and Bush were cursing out a press person over a live mike.....neither bothered to check and see if the mike was live before they began their lively conversation. They aren't the first and they won't be the last to make that mistake. Yes it was a mistake but in my opinion it was no big deal. I would not have considered it significant if it was Clinton or Gore or Leiberman making similar statements. Tim
