Obama phone is the free phone program that was intended to be used to help people find jobs. Now, it is just one more welfare program that is widely abused.

On Clinton's reforms, he did an absolutely excellent job. I didn't like Clinton back then, but now I love him. What a great President he was, in hindsight. But Obama in his term has pretty much erased those welfare reforms you talk about. We now have more people on foodstamps and other welfare programs than since the Great Depression. The numbers are truly staggering. That's why I find this whole idea that the economy is doing great and recovering nicely to be such a big giant joke.

As far as your discussion of health care in this country, it's always easy to pull on people's heart strings. However, if we are being rational for a second, then we have to admit that we spend more per capita on health care than any other country, and what we get for it is inferior to most of the countries in the developed world. Our system DOES NOT WORK. It is not sustainable. It is bankrupting this country.

Now, there are many provisions of Obamacare that are just great. However, what I don't like is that they are setting up one giant government program to administer it. Why can't we find free market solutions that help drive down costs, because companies compete for patients? I don't think Obamacare in its broad outlines is the solution. It's too expensive and delivers too little. The problem is, I don't have the solutions either. It's too complicated.

As far as your comments on oil companies...well, you know where I stand on that. If it were up to me, I'd eliminate every single tax break the oil companies get and I'd provide tax breaks for renewable energy companies instead.
