You may have hit the nail on the head with your thoughts on Roland. Turns out that Roland works for a PR firm called HSR Publishing that is paid to pump certain stocks in the marketplace. Disregard his seemingly objective input on any small cap stock issues. Chances are, he is being compensated by a company for his efforts to promote the company's stock in places like Silicon Investor. For an example of a publication put out by Roland's employer, look at the following link:

As you can see, this "research report" hypes AETTQ along with better known companies in an attempt to make it fit in with the pack. For a better example of Roland at work, look at the CPAQ thread on SI. Roland has been a huge participant in the CPAQ thread. In fact, he started the CPAQ thread with a seemingly innocent statement on the positive aspects of the company. Of course, since the stock tanked, he has mysteriously stopped offering his peachy outlook on the company's prospects.

It is Roland and folks like him that give small and micro cap stocks a bad name. He is a public relations spin-doctor impersonating a stock analyst. He does not reveal that he is compensated by these small stocks and litters respectable groups like SI with comments that serve to artificially inflate or deflate a stock. Watch out for this guy, he is bad news.
