Wish you luck on your puts. I think you will need it. glad that you have "banked" your profits, that is the smartest way to play options. I rarely play options, and don't short sell, so when a stock looks down i step aside. I don't play options because of the difficulty that i have experienced making money on them. I am long a February 55 coke put however, believing that stock will tank if the market does. I really see no possibility of chapter 11 for AOL. quite the contrary. I think mid 20's is as low as it is likely to go.
Take the Compuserve ad on the super bowl. It's the best contra indicator i can think of. I also am surprised by the intensity of the responses i've gotten from my pro-AOL posting. I think a takeover is much more likely than chapter 11. and i'll bet that the stock will see 40 before it sees 20, if it does. good luck with your puts. I will not put aol at this time, having declined what i think is most of its move. if you have any other ideas that look promising i'd love to hear them. Larry Shapiro
