All 58 FIRES in Washington State were caused by normal human activity of the type that has typically not caused fires in the past.

What has changed?

The climate.

There's a big difference in what a spark will do in a normally wet Washington forest and what it will do in the present very dry conditions in the same forest.

These fires illustrate that difference.

You don't even have to be able to read to understand what's going on, you can just look at the pictures.
