President Trump’s response to the pandemic has probably been the biggest failure by a commander-in-chief to a national emergency in American history.

It is also the main reason he is getting annihilated in the polls.

His infection was a gift-wrapped opportunity to him to treat the situation with new clarity and urgency.

What an incredible impactful moment it would have been to show a human side.

What an opportunity to turn around his listless campaign and show he is capable of meeting this unique challenge.

Instead he squandered the opportunity and it will become just another cringe-worthy moment in the Trump Show.

Utterly depressing.
