And, though they were on TV.
Nobody had a TV.
Interesting. THese guys think 7M sets were produced in the US in 1953 alone and 30M had been produced between 1947 and 1953.

You don't want to know about this:

It says 6.8M TV sets were sold in 1956 ALONE- -the 2nd time those two ran against each other. And the cumulative total since 1950 was 47M.

The convention was listened to on the Radio.
And, of course, NO newspapers or magazines published pictures of the candidates.
