Mannie, as of a couple of days ago the fan has decided it needs to run almost constantly at very high speeds. I have reset the power but it did not help. It also runs r e a l l y s l o w l y. I took it in to Apple yesterday for a different problem which, of course, could not be replicated once I got there. I have 21 days left on Apple Care. If it's going to crap out on me I hope it does it soon. I do get the spinning beach ball but not the other problems you are having. Annie
