Jim, the Republicans -which I presume you are - have always claimed that "the people should be trusted" and that local officials should have power invested in them, and t he federal government should be divesting power to them and stay out of municipal affairs.

Yet.. here we have the local officials doing exactly that, and now its the Bush candidacy trying to go into federal court to squash a local initative. Interesting how their principals vanished when it involves wanting power.
