there's an old codger in the little town of gunlock, utah who has a metal working shop....a group of us were cycling from gunlock to ivins, and passed his place on the way...and we noticed all the ironwork in the yard

so we stopped and asked if we could take a look

his backyard was absolutely amazing...i have never seen such an assortment of scrap iron artwork.....he also had a collection of old 'irons' (the kind people used to use in the late 1800's early 1900's before electric irons).....i don't know where he got them all but he must have had over 100

really funny guy....in his 80's.....there was a group of 10 cyclists and he decided he wanted us all to stay and eat...

lunch was his ripening tomatoes and over-ripe apples (that had fallen off of his apples trees on the ground...lol)
