Would it be possible to have the quotes (upper left box) open another window.... Isn't that something that your browser can already do for you? On my system (Netscape, 3-button mouse) clicking a link (or the 'Quotes' button) with the middle button displays the resulting page in a new browser window. Check whether your browser has some equivalent function. Alternatively, open up a second browser window, and use one for quote gathering, the other for messages. I wouldn't want SI to automatically open up a new window every time I requested a quote.
