Mr. Davie Rovig reports
Another multi-ounce gold has been intercepted in drilling of the eastern ore shoot at its Mayflower mine in south-central Montana, U.S.
Hole 98-38 reported as much as 20.8 ounces per ton gold in a drill penetration 220 feet below the 1,300 level.

Last week, the following intercept was reported from hole 98-37. This intercept is 440 feet below the 1,300 level.

These holes when combined with three previously drilled core holes demonstrate ore grade mineralization, over minable widths, occurring from 220 to 440 feet below the previous deepest mining (1,300 level) on the eastern shoot, and continue to document the continuity of bonanza ore grades in a downward extension of this historically mined zone.
Underground drilling continues.
Visible free gold in hole 98-38 occurs in intensely sheared and brecciated rock along the Mayflower fault zone, as both disseminations and in thin dark gray quartz veinlets in a highly silicified and altered limestone host. Other gold and silver mineralization occurs as finely disseminated telluride phases. Roscoelite, a greenish colored vanadium rich mica, was identified and is abundant in these high grade intercepts. Roscoelite has been described as being common in the higher grade ore zones mined by previous operators of the Mayflower mine.
Multi-ounce gold and silver assays were not uncommon from historical operations at the Mayflower mine, and are evidenced by both shipping and smelter receipts, as well as by ore car assay values from historical Anaconda company records.
Brimstone Mining has also started an 80 foot long crosscut and a 70 foot raise to evaluate a multi-ounce drill intercept on the west Mayflower ore shoot between the 1,100 and 1,200 levels. This drill intercept includes 6.3 feet (true width) of 1.420 opt Au and 4.20 opt Ag.
The Mayflower mine is an historically operated underground gold/silver mine about 30 miles southeast of Butte, Montana. This mine produced over 225,000 ounces of gold and 875,000 ounces of silver from 143,700 tons of ore (average grade of 1.556 opt gold and 6.15 opt silver).
