I think the sudden rise is due to technical trading. There are traders out there that don't care what the company does or stands for, they just look at the trading activity from charts and previous data and extrapolate the future price based on empiracal formula's. Don't ask me to explain technical trading, but from what I understand, CME.VSE is on the verge of a "break out" to a new price range and $1.4 per share is the magic break out price.
