Thanks for the reply, Dan, but I apologize for not being thoroughly familiar with your industry vernacular. What is "RFC1490 FR" & "MLPPP." Sorry, you lost me when you threw out those letters?

BTW, you mean "two combined ISDN 'B' channels," don't you? I still don't know your bottom line answer. Are we talking throughput of 128 Kbps or 144 Kbps? My understanding is that IDSL delivers 144 Kbps, a subtle, & probably imperceivable improvement over 128 Kbps ISDN delivers. However, my ISDN connectivity is presently limited @ 115.2 Kbps by my serial port, so 144 Kbps throughput should result is some modest improvement.

Have not bit the IDLS bait yet. Waiting to see if PacBell can deliver me an alternative solution. BTW, where in PacBell territory are you situated?
