Yes, surrendering US is obvious to me. Not a bad option if your children are liable for call-up in the event of a war. All my boys are registered Irish citizens through my citizenship. I do not know how it will work at any given point in time. I do have very good paid advice. I have no idea what I shall do when the time comes. At the moment, it is ridiculous to buy a home in Florida when I could buy one in Bermuda. ------------------------- Sorry have to break off. My wife just returned from New Hampshire and said I am allowed to head out to Pinehurst in mid-November. This is of much more immediacy to me than living in Bermuda, I hafta go make plans. I do not know how the arrangements may work then, but no matter what I do US citizenship is history if everything falls together. That is the key stumbling block, one has to renounce. I'll look up the book.Thanks, really, because I've been looking at this for several years.
