The world is filled with dangers, opinions, controversies, greed and Rogue nation leaders. Most leaders including Trump , Obama, Putin Merkel and Xi Jinping to name a few. All have one thing in comon. They view another country, it's leader or policies to be the world's greatest threat to mankind.

I would suggest as I have in the past there is a far greater threat on the horizon, which no one really wishes to address. That being Population growth. Arguments are there is still a vast amount of vacant space to accommodate any future growth. While that may be true as far as land space goes. It is not true when it comes to the most vital element to support life.

Down the line in a few generations from now. It will not ideology whether you are Left, Right,Conservative, Communist what religion or the need for Oil, Gas or gold the world will go to war for. It will be for a far more valuable resource. "Water" Life cannot exist with out it. And population growth is depleting world water resources at an alarming rate.
In my opinion long term, climate change doesn't even come close as the world's greatest threat. Nor does Kin Jon , Iran or Putin.

Already there is shortages around the world. I don't normally like the Guardian but I think in this case it lays it out in layman's terms anyone can understand. This article talks 2040. Think 2100.

Research shows future population between 9.6 B and 12.3 B by 2100. Certainty – 80% – allowed researchers to be confident global population would not peak during the 21st century. Where does the water come from in already depleted interior countries ?

Population growth is like a cancer. The bigger it gets the faster it grows till it's host is destroyed.
