VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 1998--Rhombic Corp. is pleased to announce that the company has sold through the representation of Durham Technologies Ltd., an overseas research and consulting firm, a twenty five percent interest in the company's "Diamond Fly Wheel Technology", and a fifty percent interest in the "Active Engine" software, and "FaxKey" technology.
The buyer, Mine-A-Max Corporation, a U.S. public company trading on the OTC Bulletin Board, is the owner, by way of option, of a substantial interest in a gold property, smelter, and refinery in the State of Montana.

Rhombic Corporation previously acquired the world rights for the "Active Engine and the "FaxKey" technologies from the inventor, Peter Weicker, of British Columbia, Canada.

The "Active Engine", the ultimate browser, will automate and speed up web searching, usually a time consuming task performed on the internet by thousands of individuals and corporations daily.

The "FaxKey" is a combination hardware and software device that offers total security in sending and receiving facsimile messages. By the insertion of a personal key, only the intended recipient can retrieve the message.

For further information, check Rhombic's website at www.rhombic.com. Also contact Mark Behringer at 716/256-8037 or Mike Skerry at 888/821-6607.
