Harry,

Bush will always be an alcoholic; albeit, a recovering one. There is no known cure for alcoholism. <<<<<<<<

Alcoholism is a disease which can't be cured, but it can be controlled. When you say "albeit a recovering one" you admit that GW is controlling that flaw. And that begs the question Why hasn't Bill been able to control his flaws, and why are you making excuses; while attacking GW for flaws that GW has bought under control?

First, Bush is managing his disease.....probably by turning it over to a higher power. As for Clinton, I do not know why Clinton has not dealt with his desires to stray while in places where he could get in trouble. Why do gays solicit sex in johns where it is well known that undercover cops frequent those johns, waiting to bust people? Why did Bush repeatedly DUI when he had been warned not to several times?

Who can explain why otherwise rational people do stupid things?

If you have evidence that GW has become a drunk since the inauguration; provide it and I will join you in condemning GW for that flaw.. If Scumbria thinks GW still has a drug problem, he should provide a link, which show GW is indeed doing drugs now; and I will join you in condemning that flaw. Bill's flaws were done during and after his presidency, and he has shown no ability to control his flaws. Why do you degrade a man who can control his flaws, while advocating a man who you admit has ongoing flaws.

I degraded neither of them for their flaws.

Once again, I think most psychologists would say you can't control your penchant for improprieties but rather find out what the motivation is and then defuse that motivation.

Why Clinton has not dealt with his emotional problems...I don't think he probably has had the time nor the support. Unlike Bush, Clinton came from a single parent household where alcoholism had been rampant. As the eldest, he was expected to lead and provide for the family....a tremendous burden for an adult, an almost impossible burden for a child. He was also expected to excel at school..which he did. There is a price to be paid when you come out that kind of situation.

I suspect Clinton's story is "The Drama of the Gifted Child". Its a small but powerful book.....you might want to read it.
