Makes sense to let the market tell you. Problem is deciding whether to buy and whether to hold anything you buy. When the market starts really going up, taking profits too early will seem foolish...but if we are going to get a big leg down again taking profits and getting in and out of stocks or even the same stock seems clever.
I do like the list on this thread though.
