Are you talking about gay pirates?? My guess is that, like prisoners, they make do with what's available. You know, if you have lemons, make lemonade!!!!!!!!

Yes, you guessed my whole wry joke. I think the motto would be, "Limited only by your own imagination!" I loved your joke, which is of course much less subtle and very funny.

I think mph is right when she says that Joe's appeal is that he is self-confident and it therefore does not matter what he wears. I have also noticed that he seems masculine but fairly sensitive and gentle--I think he really likes women, and that is very important. If you have girlfriends who are very conscious of what you wear, AND you like what you wear, perhaps you need a girlfriend who is more confident herself, or less shallow.

On the other hand, if you are really on the verge of color-blind, you might really look funny, especially with a plaid eye-patch. It is fun to go shopping with a woman, very romantic!!! And also a little bit of a commitment, not something you would do with a very casual date. It implies a little seriousness to the relationship. In my experience women love to shop for their men, and to remake them in the clothes sense. Just make sure she is not too pushy!!!!!!!! Or you'll be over the gang-plank, matey!!!!!!!
