Kenneth

I have had and seen many friends much younger than I to face their last days. But the one that recently was of particular note was this spring.

A classmate who had been one of the most popular young men in school-------had this to say on the last day of his life, according to his family and wife. "Now I Understand"-----for George this was a summation of his life as he looked to the next journey.

Of course the one that was closest-------was that of my husband who was told by a hemotolgists that he had 6 months to live. I read the blood tests---called Johns Hopkins cancer unit----saw one of the head doctors who did the necessary tests and learned that he would not die in 6 months. This was a gift as he focused on what he wanted to do with the 5 years of life he had without chemo------a trip to Grenada to write an article; volunteering for the local hospital; living to see his daughter graduate from college.

Just my thoughts on your personal message
