Cable should be the choice for anything that doesnt require upstream speeds of more than 28.8. When app's (internet phone, video conferencing, using home or office computer as web server) happen like I anticipate, cable will not be as attractive (I can't remember the cost to make cable 2-way w/high bandwidth, but it aint cheap). In addition, 65% of the US is served by cable, virtually 0% anywhere else in the world.
