Haven't received my brokers' tax forms yet, so I don't know how 8949/Sch D has changed. Takes me hours to get all the numbers onto 8949's and to Sch D. Gets easier I believe each year that the brokers have to keep track of all buys and sells and wash sales. So far I've still got lots of shares of stocks purchased pre 2010 that the brokers don't have to report purchase prices on, so it's me having to do it now.
