If you ask, "Do you support drilling in Alaska if it (a) reduced our dependence on Iraq & others for oil, and (b) if necessary to insure a ready supply of oil at reasonable prices over the coming few years?", they will answer the question in the affirmative

Given your position, I think you will be greatly surprised as to what Americans will support....but just wait til 2004.
