Re: I do not know anything about the new Mac Os X. What kind of new capabilities does it provide to the user ? What kind of new software applications are made possible ?

I'm currently doing some development with OS X (10.0.4). It's based on BSD 4.3 Unix, so that might make it a lot easier to port some Unix applications. BTW it does support a 2 button mouse. Currently it appears to be slower than OS 9. You can execute most OS 9 apps using the classic mode. Takes a really loooong time to start classic the first time. I'm doing some kernel extensions which requires 2 computers for kernel debugging which is a real pain in the butt. The graphics are really neat, but if I were an Apple user, I think I'd wait for the 10.1 release. It's not quite ready for prime time. Documentation is somewhat lacking.
