Dear Milo:

If true, then Intel lied (ok! tried to play this as not one when it is) about no layoffs. A two week shutdown is a two week layoff. It is similar to the four month layoffs for construction workers (DEC-MAR inclusive) here. The quarter must be very tight and expenses must be pared quickly to make Q2 estimates or more warnings would have to be made.
