Mexico 1 x 1 Italia

A great first half for Mexico... not so hot in the second half... and even worse after the change of players... from that point on they fell in the long time "honored" tradition of entrenching with only one goal difference...

And the result was (as most times) a tie by the Italians, the goal seemed to me a tad offside but in the end it did not matter as Ecuador beat the Croatians and made the game somehow irrelevant (as demonstrated pitifully by both teams during injury time).

One wonders what would have happened if Ecuador had had an early lead and by more than one goal... both teams (Mexico and Italy would have gone to sleep)

In any event, it is done... up to the first half a thought Mexico was doing a great job of containing the Italians and controlling the game... after the substitutions in the second half, I thought I had changed the channel and I was watching a game from Mexico's past...

As for Croatia, (I did not watch the game), but I cannot explain how they could have been beaten by Ecuador...

So on to the next phase...

Not the best of this world cup
