I know my husband is all for it and ready to take what ever training they deem necessary. That's just one of the conditions to pilots carrying, they get some type of training like the sky marshalls just more scaled back. They also have to go through another more indepth psychological testing than they did when they were first hired. He had to fly the day the government lifted the flight ban. Actually, he volunteered because there were quite a few pilots that didn't want to fly right after, which was understandable. Anyway, he said the fire axe was within reach and that I had not to worry, he didn't have a problem using it...........and I knowing him, he wouldn't hesitate.
