By "new impotence patients" I mean patients that have not been treated before for this problem. Now, one could argue that the news about Viagra is drawing these patients out into the open and so they would not have been part of the potential market for MUSE. That is probably true to some extent. But what I didn't mention in my previous post was that the first two phone calls that I got the morning after the Viagra news hit the media a month ago were from current MUSE users who were under the impression that the pill was on the market and they wanted to try it right away. Every current MUSE user that I have talked to since has asked about the pill and wants to try it as soon as it becomes available. They will grudging continue to use MUSE until an alternative is available. No one seems so happy with MUSE that they will not consider something easier (in their minds) to use. Now which will be more effective, MUSE v. Viagra, we don't know and there will be some MUSE users who will try Viagra but have to go back to MUSE.
