Steve,

Yes i'm glad to see this site is off to a good start with some good contributors. I was thinking today about how i first heard of Weinstein. I heard of him on a local radio station. This guy Damon Vickers was talking up his book on his show. Vickers has been short the market since early in 2000 - especially the Nasdaq.

As i was getting killed by buying the dips and using selloffs as "buying opportunities" - which the wall street analysts were recommending to me - i began to become cynical on the analysts. I picked up the Weinstein book and realized that I had been buying stocks that were in stage 4 declines with no hopes of recovering any time soon. I also realized that if I could spot stocks that had this chart pattern i could make money buy shorting them. This information saved my career which was slipping away fast. Now I still trade stocks full time - mostly swing trades - and mostly shorts.
