Optelecom Caps Record Year

GERMANTOWN, Md., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Optelecom, Inc. OPTC today announced record results for its fourth fiscal quarter and full year ended December 31, 2004.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $5,420,599, surpassing the previous fourth quarter record of $4,956,227 set last year. Income before income taxes for the quarter ended December 31, 2004 totaled a record $632,426, a 61% increase compared to $392,199 in the fourth quarter of the previous year.
Sales for the full year ended December 31, 2004 rose 13% to a record $19,395,147 compared to $17,119,658 for the same period in 2003. Income before income taxes for the full year totaled a record $2,290,290, up 17% compared to the $1,961,989 achieved last year. |
