Hi longz,

Renewables have one huge problem.

Intermittency.

They require a back up system, thus have more expense.

That assures they are not the final solution, but simply a poor alternative until the final resolution of the best system is developed.

Therefore they are a short term alternative with a limited life.

That fact makes investment in them a short term deal and a dangerous one at that.

Today's hype does not note that, and there will be pain for those who accept the weak truth.

Time will prove that to be true, and it seems like an awareness is currently growing to support that thought.
