There are enough people who think like Dan, and that makes AMD an ideal trading stock. One could make lots of money by understanding how to play AMD. There are enough individual investors who believe the AMD hype and believe in "beat Intel at all costs" Sanders that there is a floor to AMD stock price as well as short-term runs in the stock price. But ineveitably, fundamentals catch up with AMD & the price goes back down. I've recently made a nice mint by buying puts when AMD was in the 30s. Intel is the ideal long-term investment (with plenty of opportunities to buy low), while AMD is the ideal short-term trade. Joey
