Mitek's 20th Patent Extends Mobile Imaging Leadership finance.yahoo.com Patent for Identifying and Extracting Content is a Central Component of World-Class Mobile Imaging This patent describes one of the more complex aspects of Mitek's underlying technology. Mitek's CTO, Michael Strange, explains, "In order to properly process images which are collected from a mobile device, a complex set of analytics steps are needed. Consumers use mobile imaging in a variety of conditions, and our software needs to handle it. So, we deconstruct each image, analyze the contents, identify each field, and categorize identifiable characteristics. We are proud of our technology in this area, and proud to have received our 20th patent in recognition of it."
