"Da Boyz" Does anyone know who these guys are. They are believed by many on SI to be the guys who really control the indices. They can and do move the indices at will in any direction, at any rate they desire. I think they are at different times referred to as the Men Behind the Curtain, the Illuminate, the Mafioso, the Powers that Be, the Knights Templar, the Knights of Columbus, The Boy Scouts, the Better Business Bureau, or the Singers of the mystic OHM, the Elks, Moose, or Eagles. I mean, who knows, maybe all of them.
Fostering a belief in "Da Boyz" is of great value to the crooked Market Analyst. A Market Analyst can qualify his market call with "unless "Da Boyz" decide to take this market ….." He can blame every bad call on those "Rascally Boyz"!
"I think this market is going lower unless Da Boyz decide to take it higher." Any bad call is not my fault. It is the fault of those Boyz interfering with the market. If Da Boyz had not interfered I would have been exactly right. Who are you to say any different. You must believe in "da botz" or you are just not in with the in.
But this belief goes even further, It becomes a core belief of what I call Market Cults. You see they teach that only the very wise have this special knowledge of Da Boyz. Only those who are truly tuned in have discovered the workings of Da Boyz. Only a certain few know the secrete handshake. Only certain genius gurus can truly see their footprints. Only the enlightened guru who has that certain mystical light in his eyes can truly see the will and actions of "DA BOYZ" !!!.

It would seem to me that all TA is an exercise in futility IF Da Boyz really control the indices.
This is a part of the core beliefs of many. To some the existence of da boyz is part of the Grand Conspiracy.
