aj, almost... In jolly old England you are considered second class if you earned a great fortune by the sweat of your brow. Not now - actually, not really since Regency times: it's only if you brag about it. It's only clean money if foisted on you by the powers that be. Make that 'the powers that were' and you explain my displeasure. Has there ever been a truly viable, non-isolated meritocracy? Even a benign dictatorship where the successor has stayed benign and worthy of ruling? BWI?
