Interesting collection of readings and underlines, at least for me, the degree to which what comes around comes around. The intricate relations of democracy and economic growth were heavy items in grad schools in the early 60s with the general emphasis on democracy before development. Without democracy, you got revolutions from below (Barrington Moore's work, et al). Ouch, much over simplification there.

The other popular position was the chicken and egg issue. Folk couldn't tell which but you had to have both.

Now it looks as if, from your lists, it's clearly the egg that comes before the chicken in grad schools these days; that is economic development before democracy. To step outside grad school readings for a moment, the Kaplan is the first place I ran into that argument stated in a serious and credible way. Kaplan has taught me much. Even gotten me interested enough in Huntington to consider picking up the civilization book on my next trip to the local library. Now we'll see whether I take it off the shelf before it's due back. Right now I'm having too much fun reading Edmund Morris second Roosevelt volume.
