I agree Paul, there really is no thing such as easy money...more like money easily lost. I'm no longer a stock investor and haven't been so since last summer and I have no plans of returning to one. Even during the great "bubble run" my returns were modest and any winning positions eventually turned red. Picking and sticking with company's is difficult work and requires intense research and even more intense discipline. However, that said, understanding and trading the key reversal periods of the market and riding the intra-day waves on spreads can become easy but still requires discipline and obviously nothing is guaranteed. Sharck has said it numerous times and others as well..."find your style". I was a horrible investor but am a damn good trader. I still hold a few fat losses in my account (ISLD, MRVC, MMPT) if not only to remind me that I'm not an investor and have been quite a failure as one. Hmmm, just opened correspondence from GM...bought 8yrs ago for 58 and now only out of the money by about 11%...put that in your pipe Mr. Buffet! Anywho, gotta run...got a foot of snow overnight and still more on the menu. However, I see that the pending recession is finally taking a toll on Costa Rican real estate prices (one of my favorite hot spots)...and they will only get cheaper. Cheers!
