Tim,
You are right, the NASDAQ scenario is a major factor on the downside
today. The market divergence was created by a false sense of 9000
on the NYSE and Microsoft leading the NASDAQ down.
This divergence was an indicator of indecision by many Mutual Funds.
IMHO.
