Ally,

Welcome to the thread.

I don't know the full range of options, but I am very happy with the setup I have. Basically, rather than trying to get my old (3 years old, 233 MhZ Compaq) PC to accommodate a burner added on to it, I just bought a new PC about 4 months back....it came with all necessary software to convert CD's into MP3's (and does it quickly)....and it also has a very nice CD copying feature (put the CD to be copied in the CD/DVD tray and a blank one in the CD RW tray, push a button on the software....go eat dinner.....and 15 minutes or so later you have a duplicate.......

If you like ease and simplicity of use I would recommend going the new PC route....

Any music recommendations for us today?
