However, Davyd Arakhamia, leader of the Servant of the People faction in the Ukrainian parliament, said there are not enough pilots and maintenance personnel for the aircraft, according to RBC Ukraine.

During a visit to Kyiv on Monday, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) suggested that retired F-16 fighter jet pilots "from NATO countries" could assist Ukraine in its "fight for freedom."

This would allow Ukraine to deploy F-16 aircraft more quickly while enough Ukrainian pilots undergo training.

"We need to be all in," Graham said. "Here's what I want to see happen in 2024, calendar year 2024. I'm going to bring this up. I'm asking President Biden, before you leave office, make sure this invitation gets issued."
