rick "but I didn't see anything in that stuff that resolved the question" as is so often the case, eh? online security ultimately comes down to individual decisions... what each user is or is not comfortable with. very much a who do you trust game. i figure that in many situations, there is no resolving. security experts tell us that allowing a server is a risk. while i am not very knowledgeable in that field, i am able to limit the scope of trusted sites. i only allow two programs as servers right now on zonealarm. beyond that, my settings are to block local servers and internet servers.
