Documentum (DCTM) 9 17/32 -1 15/32: Company warns for Q1; sees revenue in the range of $43 to $46 mln vs consensus estimate of $58.38 mln; cites delays and cancellations of customer orders. EPS estimate for Q1 is $0.07; see press release.

BroadVision (BVSN) 4 1/2 -27/32: -- Update -- The Company also announced it has revised its previously released Q4 results to include approximately $4 mln of additional expenses. These expenses reduced reported fourth quarter diluted pro-forma earnings per share to $0.01 from $0.02 and full fiscal year 2000 pro-forma earnings per share to $0.12 from $0.13 on a fully diluted basis; see press release.

BroadVision (BVSN) 4 1/2 -27/32: Company warns for Q1; sees revenue between $85 and $90 mln and basic pro-forma loss per share, pending review of non-recurring items, will be in the range of $0.14 to $0.16 vs First Call mean estimate of $0.02 profit. Kronos (KRON) 30 7/16 -1: Company warns for Q2; sees EPS of $0.06-0.08; current EPS estimate is $0.23. Revenue is expected to be in the range of $66 to $67 mln. Company says shortfall is a direct result of the slowing economy which is delaying buying decisions in all of the company's key markets. In addition, the company anticipates a one time charge of $0.14 to $0.15 per share in conjunction with a restructuring of its CrossWinds operation originally acquired in May, 1999; see press release.

TEKELEC (TKLC) 17 5/16 -11/16: Company has revised its previously announced financial results for Q4 and fiscal year as a result of a recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by a service provider customer. Tekelec decided to exclude $1.8 mln in Q4 revenue attributable to e.spire from Tekelec's 2000 financials, resulting in the revision; see press release.

Entrust Tech (ENTU) 7 9/32 -1 1/32: Company warns for Q1; sees loss in the range of $0.32 to $0.34 per share (vs estimate of $0.02 profit), on revenues of $31 to $32 mln. Cites a significant reduction in expected software license sales primarily attributable to the slowing U.S. economy; see press release.

Equity Marketing (EMAK) 8 7/8 -1/4: Company issues upside preannouncement for Q1; sees EPS of $0.11-0.15; current EPS estimate is $0.08; revenues to be between $27 to $30 mln; see press release.

Ariba (ARBA) 6 23/32 -1 3/16: -- Update -- Ariba and Agile (AGIL) have decided not to continue their proposed merger. AGIL down to 9 21/32 after hours.

Extended Hours Trading : Shares of Commerce One (CMRC) plunge 6% in reaction to the Ariba earnings warning. Also being impacted by news is Agile Software (AGIL -9%), which is in the process of being acquired by Ariba. Other companies trading down in sympathy with Ariba warning include ORCL (-1.1%) and ITWO (-1.6%). Ariba shares halted from trading.

Inktomi (INKT) 6.22 -0.43: Company warns for Q2; sees a loss excluding items of $0.23 to $0.25 per share vs the First Call consensus of ($0.04); sees Q2 revenue between $36-$38 mln. Company also plans to cut roughly 25% of staff. Cites faster than expected decline in economic conditions in both the United States and Europe; see press release.

Redback Ntwrks (RBAK) 11.79 -1.29: Company warns for Q1; expects revenues to be approx. $85-$90 mln (mean $133.4 mln); plans to reduce workforce by 150 people, or about 12%.

New Focus (NUFO) 11.49 -1.02: Company reaffirms Q1 revenue guidance of $38-41 mln and announced the departure of Paul G. Smith, VP and general manager for a portion of the company's telecom business. Kenneth E. Westrick, president and CEO will assume responsibility for Smith's sales and marketing functions on an interim basis; see press release.

Synquest (SYNQ) 4 1/4 -13/16: Company warns for Q3; sees loss of $0.12-0.14 per share; current EPS estimate is ($0.04); revenues for the quarter to be between $6.8 and $7.0 mln; see press release.

Rainbow Tech (RNBO) 5 1/8 +1/8: Company warns for Q1; sees loss of $0.07-0.10 per share; current EPS estimate is $0.05. Cites continued slowdown in the Internet infrastructure industry; see press release.

Ariba (ARBA) 6 23/32 -1 3/16: Company warns; sees a significant loss from operations of approx. $0.20 a share, vs profit of $0.05 expected by analysts; puts revenues at approx. $90 mln (mean $175.2 mln). Company says experienced a large unexpected drop-off in our sales closure at the end of the qtr; notes that impact was primarily in N. America, but is beginning to be felt in Europe as well... ARBA responding to downturn in business by reducing workforce by about 700 employees or one-third.

E.piphany (EPNY) 9 15/32 -2 7/32: Company warns for Q1; expects to post a loss of as much as $0.40 a share, compared to the loss of $0.09 anticipated by analysts; blames shortfall on longer sales cycles caused by the continuing economic uncertainty in N. Ameican markets; says visibility is limited for Q2 and the full yr.

Lante Corp (LNTE) 1 15/32 -1/32: Company warns for Q1; sees loss of $0.17-0.19; current EPS estimate is ($0.12); revenue to be approximately $12 mln. Company cites extremely challenging environment; see press release.
