With the Marathon announcement we know that under past production the numbers will not be that high. But with all the new technology coming to the table, and the problems associated with business travel, we may be seeing a beginning of a new trend here. Corporations may be looking to deploy a number of these Specialty busses to take their staff to the field for training, demos, and point of sale public relations. One such signal that a new trend for mobile offices is being born is that Sales in the RV industry are up and growing while the economy in general has many weak spots. Historically RV/ Custom Busses are items that are in hot demand during flush periods when employment is high and money is flowing. Perhaps what the RV industry is experiencing is a shift in demand from consumer to Business. It makes perfect sense that companies look for ways to make a lasting impression on their field networks that a properly customized vehicle could bring to the table. MTV'S Road Rules points to a shift in the way these vehicles can be used, a whole show is built around this concept. How long before companies begin rolling up to the Home depot and feature a party for local staffs to include the training? These evolutions in how companies build sales staffs are key to sustaining brand and sales momentum. JVHI should produce collatoral literature and begin distributing in conjunction with their partners in the RV industry brochures on how to make the MOBILE Home Office a productive part of a market mix.

Today a key manager hops on a plane and travels for a few days in a field territory with the local sales force, but this methodology is old news, the manager cant bring the resources to the table to win mind share. More and better skills and tools are needed. Have I hit on something here or am I all wet?
